Builder/founder of North Sea Yachts, John Lundin, is a Swedish national with a yacht yard and commercial shipyard in Indonesia. Naval architect, Dennis Harjamaa, based in New Zealand, has worked at McMullen & Wing, building yachts entirely out of carbon fibre with extremely lightweight hulls. Andreas Martin-Löf is a leading Nordic architect and designer who has recently created some of the most innovative and award-winning interiors in yachts built at yards such as Baltic Yachts in Finland and at Moonen Shipyard in the Netherlands.

Technologically sound
Following Dennis Harjamaa’s drawings and specifications, hydrodynamic experts Profjord AB, based in Gothenburg, conducted computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to assist the team with resistance calculations, ensuring the boat had the right propulsion and hull design. They also analyzed the seaworthiness of the boat in challenging sea conditions and applied ‘ISO22834 – Comfort Assessment on a Large Yacht’, which assesses comfort on board with and without stabilizers. Spearhead 118 is built to be self- righting in any sea and weather conditions.
